What are Anxiety Disorders?
While anxiety is a normal feeling, anxiety disorders are not. They are mental disorders that can stop someone from carrying on with a normal life. Those that have one, live in constantly overwhelming fear and worry which can be disabling. Causes of anxiety disorders come from a variation of things such as changes in the brain, environmental stress and even a person’s genes. Disorders include panic disorder where the feeling of terror strikes randomly causing a panic attack, social anxiety, phobias that trigger anxiety, and general anxiety disorder.
