About Hijaz Hospital
Hijaz Hospital is a hospital run by donations in Lahore. It had humble beginnings as it was initially a medical dispensary in 1987. The donations are predominately from either friends or well wishers from around Pakistan and even around the world. Hijazi Hospital is also a teaching hospital as a college of medicine and dentistry and it is one of many teaching hospitals associated with Fatima Medical Hospital. Hijaz Hospital strongly caters to the poor with their services being free to the poor or those who cannot afford treatment and they also give free medication. This results in 90% of their patients receiving free medical treatment and even free surgery. Those who pay money for treatment are charged at fixed rates.
